How much does Rhino 8 cost?
A new Rhino 8 commercial license for Windows and Mac costs €995. An upgrade from an earlier version costs €595. The educational license costs €195 and the lab license €975. All are lifetime licenses with one payment.
Is Rhino a subscription?
No. Rhino is sold as a lifetime license. You pay once and keep using the version you bought, with no subscription and no maintenance fees.
Does one license work on Windows and Mac?
Yes. Rhino 8 for Windows and Mac is one license that works on both systems.
Who can buy the upgrade?
The upgrade is for owners of a previously purchased Rhino version. Evaluation versions cannot be upgraded.
Who can buy the educational license?
The educational license is for students and faculty members, one per person. Schools can buy as many as they need. For computer labs there is the lab license, and for larger numbers of students the Educational License Pack with a minimum of 30 units at €95 per unit. We ask for proof of status with the order.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Rhino 8 has a 90-day evaluation with full functionality. Fill in the form below and the download page opens.
Is Grasshopper included?
Yes. Grasshopper, the visual programming tool for parametric design, is part of Rhino 8.
How do I pay and when do I get the license?

Do you have prices for teams?
For 10 users there is the 10-user license key at €9,950 and for 50 users the 50-user key at €49,750. For other team sizes, tell us the number of users and we send a quote.
Which countries do you sell Rhino in?
